Kimberly Gandy, Founder & CEO
Kim is a physician/scientist and entrepreneur with 25 year of experience in healthcare, her clinical and scientific career including institutions such as Duke and Stanford. Having been a leader in her field of transplantation, she has led international committees in translational medicine and been selected by her peers as one of the nation’s top doctors. Having cared for patients in transplantation and congenital heart disease, she has a deep understanding of the importance and issues involved in motivating patients to be adherent.
Jonathan Epstein, COO
Jonathan Epstein has spent 20 years in enterprise IT sales and business development, with the last 11 years in healthcare. He has built and managed annual revenue streams exceeding $10MM and led teams in the United States and internationally. In 2006, Jonathan co-founded Tx Xchange, the market's first cloud-based telehealth platform focused on patient self-management of chronic disease. The company, now called Telespine, has partnerships with provider organizations and payers covering 30MM lives.
Steve Roatch, CTO
Steve is an experienced entrepreneur, investor, and technologist. After 17 years as a managing partner at Accenture, he founded his own software development firm, 27 Global, which he has been running successfully for 8 years and which has offices in both Denver and Kansas City. Kim and Steve, both Northwestern alumni, teamed up two years ago to develop Play-it Health’s software system.
Dexter Goodwin, Director of CUstomer support
Dex has more than 20 years of experience marrying customer service with technology. He is committed to assuring the best user experience through a combination of improving the user’s interface with the technology and constantly listening to the customer and end-user needs. Dex is known for his ability to develop and retain strong relationships with clients and end-users.
Steve Eakin, Director Of System Interfaces
Steve is a seasoned developer with over 13 years experience as a lead developer and president of a successful start up tech firm. He also has extensive experience in security and database management at larger entities such as Experian.
Cheryl Vaught, Director of Client reimbursements
Cheryl has over 30 years of experience as a healthcare executive. Having served in the position of COO and CFO of successful healthcare companies, her expertise spans the gamut of executive and operational areas. She particularly enjoys navigating the waters of reimbursement policies and is dedicated to helping Play-it Health clients optimize their potential to offer services to their patients.
Alissa Link, Director of Product Development
Alissa has over a decade of experience in healthcare innovation. An expert in health behavior change, she started her career managing NIH-funded research trials on medication adherence, smoking cessation, chronic disease management and behavioral economics. As digital tools offer a way to scale innovations and fill needed gaps within the healthcare system, this background fueled her passion for product development, working both for hospital systems and startups to bring innovative products to market. Alissa’s approach to product strategy combines a deep sense of empathy with research and data to solve problems for the end-user.
Katie Neben, Director of Incentives and Engagament
Katie is a very experienced senior healthcare executive who has held positions directing product development at such highly successful organizations as Trizetto and Welltok. Over the years, she has gained a tremendous knowledge base around user experience and engagement and is intrigued by the incentives that keep patients engaged with platforms.
